The first story is about Thilo, who successfully completed his apprenticeship as an IT specialist for application development in 2021. In the article, we tell you a little more about his apprenticeship at Tradebyte.
Choosing a company for an apprenticeship is always a challenge. Writing lots of applications, having interviews, and in the end deciding on a company. When this question came up for Thilo, one of the decisive points for his decision to become an apprentice at Tradebyte was the great company culture.
How the apprenticeship works
Regularly, the apprenticeship as an IT specialist for application technology in Germany lasts three years. However, due to his very good performance, Thilo was able to shorten it to 2.5 years. At Tradebyte, we take great care to ensure that our apprentices are actively involved in their new area of responsibility and the team from day one. As a highlight, we work throughout the entire time to ensure that what they have learned is also used productively at the end of their apprenticeship. This way, they already contribute to improvements and innovations very early. The trainers at Tradebyte support them with ready-made learning plans, among other things. This way, our young colleagues learn everything they need to know in order to start their professional lives successfully afterwards. In addition to the learning plans, we also focus on exchange. That's why our young colleagues have a fixed contact person. They can ask anything they want to know, which further deepens their knowledge.
What comes next?
As they are part of the team, we make sure that our apprentices stay with Tradebyte after they graduate. There are numerous opportunities for everyone to support the individual teams. Thilo is now part of the DEV Channels team and supports them as a software engineer. He takes care of the maintenance of our core applications and the implementation of customer-oriented solutions.
